of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Authorization by
the State of Idaho

Prior to the 2003-2004 academic year, the College registered with the State Board of Education as a non-accredited postsecondary institution, as required by law. The Idaho State Board of Education's Chief Academic Officer then issued the College a "Certificate of Approval" which stated, "This is to certify that New St. Andrews College is approved by the Idaho State Board of Education to offer courses in Idaho." The "Certificate of Approval" was issued for each calendar year, effective July 1 through June 30.

Beginning with the 2003-2004 academic year, when the College became a candidate for accreditation with the Transnational Assocaiton of Christian Colleges and Schools (which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation) on November 6, 2002, the Idaho State Board of Education no longer required the College to register.

A letter from the State's Chief Academic Officer, dated September 9, 2003, stated:

"Section 33-107(6), Idaho Code, establishes as a general power and duty of the Board the maintenance of a register of courses and programs offered anywhere in the state of Idaho by post secondary institutions which are located outside the state or located within the state but not accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the Board. Institutions located within the state of Idaho and accredited by a recognized accrediting agency are not required to register annually with the Office of the State Board of Education.

"Having received verification that you are a candidate for accreditation with Transnational Association of Chrsitian Colleges and Schools, we therefore waive the requirement for you to register annually with this office. You are required, though, to submit to us a letter of accreditation status prior to June 30 of each year, and submit to us a copy of your annual report.

"Should your candidacy for accreditation change or be dropped, you would then again be liable to register annually with this office.

Effective November 29, 2005, New Saint Andrews College became institutionally accredited by the Transnational Assocation of Christian Colleges and Schools at its annual national meeting in Virginia Beach, VA. The College continues to submit a letter of accreditation status and annual reports to the State Board of Education, as required.
