Dr. Gordon WilsonGordon L. Wilson, Ph.D.

Senior Fellow of Natural Philosophy, 2003-

Dr. Wilson is a Senior Fellow of Natural Philosophy, responsible for the College's Natural Philosophy Colloquium and science electives.

He received his Ph.D. from George Mason University in Environmental Science and Public Policy in 2003. He holds a Master of Science degree in Entomology and a Bachelor's degree in Education (Secondary Education-Biology) from the University of Idaho. He joined the New Saint Andrews faculty in 2003 and was promoted to the rank of Senior Fellow in 2006.

Dr. Wilson's research focuses on the reproductive ecology of the Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina carolina). He has published his research, field notes, and abstracts in Southeastern Naturalist, Herpetological Review, Catesbeiana, and the Virginia Journal of Science.

Dr. Wilson taught in the Department of Biology at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, from 1991 to 2003. He also taught at Lynchburg College, and served as a lab instructor in entomology at the University of Idaho, 1988-1989. He taught at Logos School during the 1988-1989 academic year.

Dr. Wilson hosted the June 2005 Baraminology Study Group National Conference held at New Saint Andrews in Moscow.

Dr. Wilson and wife Meredith have four children. Daughter Brooke is a student at New Saint Andrews.
