NSA Lectureship 2017-18: Rev. Dr. Michael McClenahan

Posted on April 3, 2018

Things to be believed, things to be done: Everything New Saint Andrews teaches in our Christ-centred liberal arts education revolves around these “two heads” as we seek to fulfill our mission to graduate leaders who shape culture under the Lordship of Jesus Christ through wise and victorious Christian living. The New Saint Andrews lectureship is a strategic contribution to that vision as leading Christians in various fields are asked to give four lectures, over the course of the school year, to the whole college community on things to be believed and things to be done.

New Saint Andrews is delighted to announce that the Rev. Dr. Michael McClenahan will be the holder of the New Saint Andrews Lectureship during the 2017-18 academic year. His first two lectures were given on August 23 and 24. The second lectures will be given this week on April 5th and 6th. The title for his lecture series is: ‘Life in Himself’: The Freedom and Fullness of the Triune God.”

Rev. Dr. Michael McClenahan is the Executive Director of BibleMesh and has taken up his recent appointment as Professor of SystematicUnion Theological at Union Theology College, Belfast in September 2017.  He is an Irish Presbyterian minister and preaches regularly at Vinecash Presbyterian Church, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. He has degrees in Jurisprudence, Theology, and Ecclesiastical History from the University of Oxford, where he wrote his doctoral dissertation on the theology of Jonathan Edwards. He is the author of Jonathan Edwards and Justification by Faith (Ashgate, 2012) and is an Associate Editor of the forthcoming NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible (Thomas Nelson, 2017).
