Peter Leithart at NSA and TRC
Dr. Peter Leithart, Adjunct Senior Fellow of Theology and Director of the Theopolis Institute, will be at NSA this week and next as he leads an intensive segment of the graduate literature course, "Medieval Allegory, Romance, and Saga." In addition to teaching the class, Dr. Leithart and Douglas Wilson will be conducting a round-table discussion at NSA's weekly grad forum on "Ecumenism and the Marks of the Church." Leithart is also slated to address the student body at Disputatio on Friday, May 1, on themes from his new book published by Brazos Press, Traces of the Trinity: Signs of God in Creation and Human Experience. Disputatio is, as always, free and open to the public.
While Dr. Leithart is in Moscow, he will also be presenting a mini-conference on the topic of the sacraments at Trinity Reformed Church, where he served as founding pastor until 2014.
The mini-conference will be held this Saturday, April 24th:
9:30-10:30—"Cutting Flesh: Circumcision"
10:30-11:00—Break (with doughnuts!)
11:00-noon—"Through Fire and Sword: Sacrifice"
The conference is free and open to the public.
Then on Sunday, April 25th, Dr. Leithart will be teaching the TRC adult Sunday school class at 8:30 am on the topic, "Signs of the New Society," and afterward he will be preaching during the worship service at 10:00 am. All are welcome.
