Students Bring Fun to Easter Fest
Each May, Trinity Reformed Church, as part of their celebration of Easter Season, throws a big party for the community called Easter Fest, which involves food and wine, cake and coffee, games and dancing, and lots of good fellowship. It's a fun event that wouldn't be possible without the work and planning put in by NSA student volunteers.
Students took time away from their final papers and exam studies to not only help set up and clean up, but also to organize and oversee games and activities for kids. At this year's Easter Fest, students painted faces, refereed "sumo wrestling," divvied up teams for tug-o-war, set up three-legged races and egg-and-spoon races, organized eager lines for the bouncy castle, and pushed wheelbarrows containing young "knights" as they slayed a cloth "dragon."
NSA student Jeremiah Leidenfrost also called the dancing for the evening, successfully coaching new dancers—young and old—through polkas and reels.
Thank you to all the NSA students and others who gave their time to make this year's Easter Fest a huge success!
