Alumni Association Board

Jesse Sumpter (BA 2008, MSt 2012) is a Classical educator with Veritas Scholars Academy. Some of his writing has appeared at Kuyperian Commentary, Veritas Press, and The Imaginative Conservative. He is also the managing editor for the blogazine at CrossPolitic. He and his wife, Kate, and their daughter live in Moscow, Idaho.

Jen Carlson (BA 2003) is wife to alumnus Joe Carlson. They live with their toddler son Joseph in Santa Cruz, CA where Joe preaches, teaches, and mentors (www.trinitybiblechurch). Jen raises the man child while working the family wellness biz and teaching cello. They plan to open a gap-year college in the L’Abri style.

Gwen Burrow (BA 2010) is a writer and event manager at Emsi in Moscow, ID. She loves traveling, playing with words, and going on crazy adventures with her nine nieces and nephews where hopefully at least one person believes they’re going to die. She graduated with her BA in 2010 and is working on her MFA in creative writing (also from NSA).

Daniel Foucachon (BA 2010) lives in Moscow, ID with his wife, Lydia, and five children. He serves as the CEO at Roman Roads Media, a classical Christian curriculum publisher, and works alongside a number of companies to promote online classical Christian education.

Christiana Hale (BA 2015, MA 2017) teaches Latin and English at Logos School in Moscow, Idaho. She is currently finishing her final year in NSA’s MFA in Creative Writing program and has a non-fiction book under contract (tentative release summer 2020).

New Developments at the 2019 Alumni Weekend

On September 20th, over fifty alumni returned to the Skattaboe building on Main Street for fellowship, encouragement, and to gain a vision for the college's development. They held a vocational panel for current students, dined in the newly purchased building, and many entered into the college's new mentorship program.
