Fellow Nate Wilson's major new children's adventure, Leepike Ridge, debuts from Random House publishing

Fellow Nate Wilson's major new children's book from Random House was released Tuesday, May 22, and the Moscow community turned out to welcome its publication with a signing party at the Palouse Mall. The event was attended by several hundred well-wishers and autograph seekers who were treated to milk and cookies as an added bonus.

In addition to the national release of Leepike Ridge, Mr. Wilson also had two other new children's books on biblical themes published by Canon Press come out at the same time, The Dragon and the Garden and In the Time of Noah. He autographed the three books purchased by well-wishers for about three hours.

Congratulations, Nate Wilson!

What the reviewers are saying about Leepike Ridge

"While Leepike Ridge is primarily an adventure story involving murder, treachery, and betrayal, Wilson's rich imagination and his quirky characters are a true delight . . . There are enough twists and turns in the plot to keep both seasoned and reluctant readers turning the pages. Think Mark Twain with a contemporary and utterly captivating twist."

School Library Journal Review

"Wilson's debut is a literate, sometimes humorous page-turner in the classic tradition. Well-read adventure lovers are in for a treat looking for echoes of The Odyssey and Tom Sawyer . . . a strong choice for every type of library."

Class of 2007 first to sign "The Book," a massive Italian leather-bound record of NSA students

The College's Tenth Commencement honored 31 graduates with diplomas and speeches from Ken Myers, Dr. Mitch Stokes, and graduating senior Brooke Wilson. The 30-by-22 inch leather bound journal will contain the names of all the students who enter at the College's fall Convocation and who graduate in the spring Commencement each year. The Class of 2007 was the first to sign the new book.

The Class of 2007 had 16 men and 15 women receiving 29 bachelor's degrees and two associate's degrees. Congratulations to all.
