Transfer & International Students
Admission of Transfer Students
New Saint Andrews welcomes applications from prospective students who have completed post-secondary-level coursework at other colleges or universities and who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at New Saint Andrews. The College's Admissions Committee and Registrar carefully review all previous college-level coursework submitted by transfer students on an individualized and course-by-course basis prior to granting advanced academic standing at New Saint Andrews.
The integrative and intensive nature of the New Saint Andrews curriculum usually allows a limited number of transfer credits or course equivalencies from other colleges and universities, but upon admission the Registrar will work personally with each transfer student to develop the most academically sound, cost effective, and timely course schedule for the student to complete his or her bachelor's degree.
A maximum of 58 credits earned at other post-secondary institutions may be applied to the 120-credit equivalents required for the B.A. at New Saint Andrews. The College accepts transfer course equivalencies only for courses completed with a grade of "B" or better. The College accepts no transfer course equivalencies or credits for students entering its two-year Associate's (A.A.) or two-year degree program.
Applicants transfering from other institutions must request that official transcripts of all their prior college-level coursework be sent directly to New Saint Andrews Admissions Office. Unofficial copies of transcripts are not acceptable. Applicants who wish to be considered for advanced standing by transfer of academic credit from another post-secondary institution must declare their desire at the time they apply to the College, and they must do so by noting the appropriate place on the application form. To receive consideration for advanced standing, applicants must have official transcripts sent from their previous postsecondary institution.
If you have any questions about transfering to New Saint Andrews, you may contact the Director of Admissions directly at info@nsa.edu.

International Students
The College invites applications from international students who meet the College's regular admission standards. Applicants whose native language is other than English must achieve either a score of at least 570 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and 4.5 on the Test of Written English (TWE), or a score of at least 230 on the computer-based TOEFL with a 4.5 minimum on the essay portion of the exam. If electing the paper-based TOEFL/TWE, students should apply to take the exam at least three months prior to the date that test results are needed for submission to the College. Arrangements should be made by the applicant directly with Educational Testing Service by contacting the TOEFL Application Office, Educational Testing Service (www.toefl.org). Applicants from other countries who must take the TOEFL and TWE must request that the results be sent directly to New Saint Andrews College. Applicants may also be subject to a personal or telephone interview at the discretion of the College. New Saint Andrews College will issue the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status (INS Form I-20) to students from outside the United States who meet both the admissions and language requirements. The I-20 Form is necessary to enter the United States as a nonimmigrant student. Contact the College’s Director of Admissions (info@nsa.edu) for more information about admission and eligibility requirements.
