Faculty
Christopher R. Schlect is a Fellow of History at New Saint Andrews College. He holds a B.A. in History from Washington State University and an M.A. in History from the University of Idaho. He is completing his doctoral studies in history at nearby Washington State University while teaching part-time at New Saint Andrews. Mr. Schlect's interests in history, particularly church history, are wide-ranging, but his most recent research has been focused on the role of J.Gresham Machen in the Presbyterian schism of the early 20 century and its impact on the church in the Pacific Northwest. He the author of the Critique of Modern Youth Ministry and The Christian Worldview and Apologetics. He is a contributing editor of Credenda/Agenda and has written for Table Talk and Classis. He also contributed to Repairing the Ruins: The Classical and Christian Challenge to Modern Education. Mr. Schlect taught at Logos School for more than 10 years prior to coming to New Saint Andrews College. He is a teaching elder at Trinity Reformed Church, Moscow.
